Sr. Immaculate acquires funding for a library and science laboratory

...I consider myself lucky because only three schools in our area benefitted from this initiative. I attribute the success to get funding from the skills I gained in SLDI training … I am happy our children have reading materials.

This project is directly addressing UN Sustainable Development Goal(s):

Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning

Sr. Immaculate saw the needs of having a library and science laboratory as important avenues to educate the children in Nigeria. She says, “I wrote to the World Bank Family Network soliciting funding, after discussing with the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) on the need to improve the library and laboratory services in the school.  I got the information on their willingness to assist our school with reading materials. I consider myself lucky because only three schools in our area benefitted from this initiative.   I attribute the success to get funding from the skills I gained in SLDI training … I am happy our children have reading materials.”
