One Sister’s Solutions to a War Torn South Sudan

May 24, 2021: [SouthSudan, Uganda] Sr. Faida noticed how difficult it was for her neighbors to obtain healthy food during lockdown. So, she and the sisters taught them how to plant vegetables using sacks and broken buckets on their veranda.

Two Sister Candidates Selected for ASEC Pilot Ph.D. Program

Oct 21, 2020: [Kenya, SouthSudan] Two doctoral sister-students selected for the pilot phase of ASEC's Ph.D. Scholarship Program. They will be pursuing their doctoral degrees at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) in Kenya.

Over 90 million (nearly 11%) of the undernourished population are children under five years old.

Catholic Nuns Improve Food Security in Africa

Soon after graduating from ASEC's SLDI program, Sr. Elizabeth Kasanga was promoted to be Assistant Headmistress of the Corradini Pre and Primary School in Morogoro, Tanzania.

Financing the Future Generation
