Sr. Ellen Marvel, CSR

Sr. Ellen serves as the Associate Membership Representative to the ASEC Board of Directors and as a Member of ASEC's Advisory Board.

Sr. Ellen Marvel the Province Leader. A native of Philadelphia, she is a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School. She served as Assistant Food Service Director at Holy Redeemer Hospital and as the Director of Food Service at St. Joseph’s Manor. As a registered dietician, hospitality and serving the nutritional needs of others have been a major part of her life’s work. Attention to detail and upholding beloved traditions of the Congregation are Sr. Ellen’s hallmark. Sr. Ellen served as Executive Director of Drueding Center, an organization founded by the Sisters, now serving homeless women and their children. As the Director of Formation, she guides young women who enter the Congregation during their time of discernment. Sr. Ellen loves her volunteer ministry at St. Francis Inn, serving the needs of homeless persons in Philadelphia.
