In this heartfelt poem, Sr. Emmanuelina Musiimenta of Uganda reflects on the transformative journey of African Catholic sisters empowered by ASEC's education programs. She expresses deep gratitude for the guidance and support provided by ASEC, celebrating the growth, leadership, and lasting impact that sisters have had on their communities.

ASEC @ 25 Years

We have learned, we have grown, we have thrived,
Through your guidance, our future is bright.
You have nurtured us into great leaders who
Make a difference in the world,
Shining like stars in the dark night.
Twenty-five years of empowering African sisters,
Nurturing us to be more productive and self-reliant.
We stand tall, heads lifted high,
On the shoulders of the great founders,
Giving glory, honor, and praise to God, our guiding star.
To educate Catholic religious women in Africa
And strengthen their leadership capacity
Is the mission fulfilled thus far
Through transformation, collaboration, leadership,
Service, capacity building, and reverence.
ASEC, the mother of all,
Watching the dreams of African religious come true,
Filled with love, compassion, and support,
Lifting everyone to reach the heights.
With joyful hearts, we say thank you
To the founders of ASEC for showing us the way.
You have shaped us into strong women with great vision,
And our dreams are now being fulfilled.
ASEC, our beloved mother, the foundation for all;
We celebrate you and take pride in being part of this family.
Forever, we shall be grateful.
May the mission and vision of ASEC endure for all time.
