ASEC: Our Team
Jennifer Mudge, MSW, LSW
Former ASEC Senior Program Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation - USAI am a Licensed Masters-level Social Worker and the Evaluation Manager at ASEC. Through over ten years of crisis response and advocacy work with domestic and sexual violence survivors, combined with my experience in youth- and women-led international development efforts, I cultivated a passion for working collaboratively with women and communities to create social and economic progress. My experiences living and working in a rural Ugandan village, ranging from implementing a successful business plan with a local women’s group, to building the capacity of youth-led groups to educate their peers about important health issues, influenced my belief in partnerships and education as powerful tools in creating change. While conducting my graduate research on campus sexual assault, it became increasingly evident that evaluating programs and policies is an essential component of social justice-oriented work. Inspired by ASEC’s mission, I strive to utilize our evaluation findings to continually improve our programs and to highlight the numerous and impressive program outcomes that not only speak to a sister’s individual achievements, but the social and economic development of communities in sub-Saharan Africa.
