Office Manager
African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC) is a 501(c)3 organization based at Marywood University in Scranton, PA, that operates in ten countries in Africa. Through its mission, ASEC educates Catholic women religious in Africa to strengthen their leadership capacity and provide services that address local and global challenges.
The Office Manager reports to the Executive Director (ED). This position oversees daily office operations and maintains a pleasant work environment. They will primarily provide administrative support to the ED, as well as to other ASEC staff including but not limited to correspondence, office supplies, ordering, mailing, filing papers, arranging travel/accommodation, and taking meeting minutes. This is a grant-funded position that requires 35 hours per week with ASEC at Marywood University.
The main duties include but not limited to:
- Provide administrative support for the ED, staff, and ASEC Board
- Manage general office operations
- Manage office calendar and staff scheduling
- Support for financial record keeping
- Supervise administrative specialist
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or related work experience (bachelor’s degree is a plus)
- Technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suites, Google Suites, data entry
- Financial literacy, including knowledge of record keeping and basic accounting
- Organizational skills, including time management, attention to detail, problem-solving, communications
- Knowledge of nonprofit organizations and grants management is a plus
Work Schedule
Full-time, 35 hours/week, 52 weeks/year
