ASEC: Our Team
Jake Danna Stevens
Media & Communications Manager, Mission AdvancementDuring Jake Stevens' grade school years at St. Clare’s School in Scranton, his love for learning was nurtured by the women religious teachers of the school. This passion for learning led him to pursue an Associate's degree in Photography Communication from Luzerne County Community College and a Bachelor's degree in Photojournalism/Multimedia with a minor in Folk Studies from Western Kentucky University. While in college, he completed six internships, including positions at The Dallas Morning News in Texas and The Los Angeles Times in California. For 15 years, he worked as a photojournalist, with 12 of those years spent on the staff of The Times-Tribune in Scranton.
The opportunity to work for ASEC allows him to support the women religious of Africa who, in some cases, strive to provide their students with the same rich education and care he received from the women religious who influenced his life. When not working, his time is spent building the best life and memories for his wife and children.
