Sarah Martin, PhD
Program Coordinator, ProgramsBefore her time at Marywood, Sarah Martin worked extensively in higher education. She earned a Ph.D. in Romance Languages from the University of Georgia in 2011 and taught Portuguese and Spanish language classes for over a decade at several institutions. She also has experience working with international students studying English, giving her a broad appreciation for the importance of both education and international cooperation and understanding.
In the spring semester of 2022, Sarah began pursuing a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration at Marywood, which she completed in the summer of 2024. She started working at ASEC in the summer of 2022 as a graduate assistant in the SLDI program, where she was impressed by the organization's work and the significant impact of providing educational opportunities to communities across Africa. Sarah feels very fortunate to have transitioned into a full-time position as a Project Coordinator and looks forward to continuing her work with ASEC's various programs in partner countries.
