ASEC: Our Team
Sr. Suzzana Livinus Didam, SSL
Programs Coordinator – NigeriaSister Suzana Gertrude Livinus-Didam is the third born of six children—four boys and two girls, with herself being the first of the two girls and her only sister as the youngest. Her parents, Sir Livinus Didam and Lady Patricia L. Didam, who have both passed away, were educators. Their dedication to teaching inspired a passion for education within Suzana and her siblings, with five of the six children pursuing careers in teaching, alongside a priest and herself in religious life.
Sister Suzana is a member of the St. Louis Nigeria Province, an international congregation of Pontifical Right. In her role as a religious sister, she has served her congregation and the church in various capacities, including school and parish settings, and has been involved in numerous committees. She holds a Bachelor of Science Education (B.Sc. Ed) in Biology, specializing in teaching Biology in senior secondary schools and Basic Science in junior secondary and primary schools. She also has the ability to teach Christian Religious Studies and is proficient in both spoken and written English.
Before earning her first degree in 2019, she obtained the Nigeria Certificate in Education (N.C.E) in Biology and Chemistry in 2004 from Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya, Kaduna State, Nigeria. She has participated in various professional trainings and seminars related to teaching throughout her academic and professional career. Sister Suzana served as the coordinator/leader for student sisters under the HESA program for two years while at university, benefiting from ASEC's support through this program.
She has taught at several schools across different Catholic dioceses in Nigeria and has served as a caregiver to the elderly, vulnerable adults, and victims of human trafficking. In 2023, she was appointed as a Programs Coordinator with ASEC. She is grateful to ASEC for sponsoring her undergraduate studies at Veritas University Abuja, Nigeria, and is enthusiastic about contributing to ASEC’s mission in Nigeria and beyond.
