Catholic sisters participate in financial management training in Malawi

Nov 9, 2017: [Malawi] Catholic sisters drawn from 15 congregations within Malawi, Kenya and Zimbabwe participated in a month long SLDI financial management training.

Sr. Florence will be performing research at CARA from September 2017 - March 2018.

2nd Visiting Scholar Selected for CARA Research Fellowship

Oct 3, 2017: [Nigeria] Sr. Florence Emurayeveya, EHJ, arrived at Georgetown University this month for her six month research fellowship with The Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA). She plans to visit ASEC Headquarters in December.

Fighting for Human Trafficking Victims in the Middle East

Sep 14, 2017: [Cameroon] Sr. Vanaja and her organization identify Cameroonian trafficking victims in the Middle East and bring them home. On June 27, 2017, SLDI alumna Sr. Vanaja received an award in recognition of her unrelenting efforts to combat modern slavery.

SLDI participants in Nigeria take educational field trips as part of training

Jul 28, 2017: [Nigeria] Sisters attending the SLDI Nigeria Administration I Workshop in Jos take educational field trips to the National Institute of Political and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) and Tenti Green Farm.

Sisterhood is a special, 7-part series which gives viewers an exclusive look into the daily lives of these remarkable women betrothed to Christ. The project was possible due support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and a partnership between Salt and Light and Loyola University New Orleans. 1st Visiting Scholar Selected for CARA Research Fellowship

Apr 6, 2017: [Kenya, USA] Visiting Scholar Sr. Bibiana M. Ngundo, LSOSF, Ph.D., arrives at Georgetown University for a six month research fellowship with The Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA).

Sr. Rose was laid to rest in Juba, South Sudan, on March 30, 2017. Sr. Lina Wanjiku, ASEC East African Director and Sr. Mary Germina Keneema, ASEC Uganda Director, attended on ASEC's behalf.
