African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC)

SLDI program has begun its first superiors training in Maseru, Lesotho. The Basic Technology workshop is scheduled for September 2016.

An important achievement this year for SLDI includes the initial Superior training and initial Basic Technology workshop for sisters in Lesotho. In May 2016 Sr. Jane Wakahiu, Executive Director, spent four days in Lesotho where she met with Superior Generals and religious leaders at the National University of Lesotho. After engaging stakeholders in the country, the SLDI program has begun its first superiors training in Maseru, Lesotho on August 14, 2016. The Basic Technology workshop is scheduled for September 2016 in Lesotho.

ASEC recently hired a Program Director for Lesotho, Sr. Eleanor Molai.
