ASEC Participates in Marywood University’s Virtual Research Day

ASEC will participate in Marywood University’s Virtual Research Day on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

Tue, Apr 13, 2021

Marywood’s Virtual Research Day provides ASEC the opportunity to increase awareness of our mission among university students, faculty, staff and local community.

African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC) will participate in Marywood University’s Virtual Research Day on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. This event, held virtually, is organized by Marywood’s Research Day Committee and allows university faculty, staff and students a scholarly setting to share their research with members of the community.

In a 1-hour panel discussion, representatives from Marywood University’s five satellite institutions, including ASEC, will describe their mission, population served and place within the Marywood University community. Panelists will share how Marywood students, faculty and staff might best support their needs and the types of learning opportunities that exist within their organizations.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Lindsay C. Morton, Ph.D. and will include panelist representatives from each of the Marywood satellite institutions:

  • Tara Lopatofsky, PhD, CCLS, Senior Program Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation, representing African Sisters Education Collaborative
  • Raul Santana Nunez, M.Ed., Director, Military and Veteran Services, representing Veterans Resource Center
  • Robert  H. Angeloni, MPA, President and Timothy Casey, Principal, representing Nativity Miguel School
  • Lisa Blaker, SNF Activities Director / Independent Apartment Liaison and Debra Wright , Director of Clinical Services for Liberty Health Care Management, representing Marywood Heights
  • Natalie Lucas, MS, Center Director, representing Fricchione Early Learning Center

Dr. Tara Lopatofsky, Ph.D., CCLS, ASEC Program Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation, will represent ASEC at this university-wide event. ASEC is looking forward to sharing our mission, research and evaluation to increase awareness of ASEC’s work within the local community.

At the end of research day, awards will be presented for the most outstanding posters and presentations.
