ASEC and Marywood University were awarded a grant from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation to continue delivering the Sisters Leadership Development Initiative (SLDI) program.

After the Service Learning trip in May 2012, a service learning student donated funds for a second fish pond at Bigwa.

Phase II of SLDI (2010-2012) served 250 women religious from 176 congregations in seven countries. Of the 250 women religious, 237 successfully completed the course and graduated in colorful, well-attended ceremonies held in each country.

The first class of 18 sisters entering the HESA program participated in an orientation session before they begin their online coursework at Marywood University during the spring semester 2013.

By the end of the three-year program 267 Sisters from Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, and Nigeria completed the program and received a certificate of completion at the graduation ceremonies.
