Guests will be inspired and invigorated by the stories of four African Catholic sisters, who will share their experiences in five-minute personal narratives.
The featured storytellers will include:
- Sr. Lina Wanjiku Ndung’u, SE, Regional Director, East & Central Africa
- Sr. Clarisse Remjika Jaiwo, SST, SLDI Africa Coordinator & Director – Cameroon
- Sr. Francisca Damoah, SIJ, Regional Director West Africa & Director – Ghana
- Sr. Prisca Phiri, LSMI, Graduate Assistant, SLDI Program
Each storyteller will have a few moments to share a true and personal story about their experiences as African Catholic Sisters. Those who attend will have the opportunity to ask the featured sisters questions and enjoy complimentary dessert and coffee during the event.
Funds will be raised through the event’s 50/50 chance raffle. Tickets can be purchased through Kindful, by visiting ASEC offices in Emmanuel Hall at Marywood University, by calling (570) 340-6089, or emailing [email protected]. Raffle tickets can be purchased by students for one dollar each, and community members for five dollars each, attendance at the event is not required to win. Purchases can be made digitally until Monday, April 17th and last minute tickets with cash or check at the door.
All proceeds will go directly to support ASEC’s mission to transform communities in 10 Sub-Saharan African countries where over 6,500 Catholic sisters have already been served through the robust educational programs ASEC offers. Each donation will be generously matched 1.5x by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, greatly amplifying the impact of every dollar raised.
