ASEC Executive Director Sr. Draru Mary Cecilia, LSMIG, speaks to students about her life, journey and experience as a religious sister from Uganda.
On Friday, October 15, ASEC Executive Director Sr. Draru Mary Cecilia, LMSIG, spoke to 64 students and 7 staff members of NativityMiguel Secondary School. She discussed her life, journey and experience as a religious sister from Uganda, answering any and all questions asked by the students.
The students were very engaged and asked about Sr. Draru’s mission work in Italy and how she is serving others in the present day. She told the students about the obstacles she faced as a child their age, emphasizing that no matter what the circumstances, you have the ability to make a better life for themselves.
Along with ASEC, NativityMiguel school is located on Marywood University’s campus in Scranton, PA.
