Sr. Grace Champo, SOM
Scholarship Recipient, SLDI Participant - ZambiaSr. Grace Champo is a member of the congregation Sisters of Mercy (SOM) in Zambia. She is an ASEC 2-Year Scholarship Recipient and Sisters Leadership Development Initiative (SLDI) program participant. She studied Midwifery from 2016-2017 through the Scholarship Program. Later, she was able to improve her technology skills through ASEC's SLDI program.
“I really appreciated to be one of the beneficiaries of [ASEC's Scholarship] program. However, I had some challenges ...when I needed to hand in the typed assignments or when I needed to present with Powerpoint because I’ve no knowledge about that. But afforded this chance to start [the SLDI program] under the Basic Technology of computers now I’m able to present with Powerpoint and I’ll be able to hand in the typed assignments when I need to. I’m currently working at local Mission Hospital as a registered midwife. ...I’m very grateful to have been accorded this opportunity because it has helped me so much to advance in how to type with a computer. Thanks very much."
