In this article, Sr. Mary Germina Keneema, MSMMC, ASEC Program Coordinator in Uganda, shares an update from the recent SLDI workshop in Kampala.
117 SLDI alumni and mentees participated in a two-day workshop at Ggaba National Seminary from January 22nd – 25th, 2016.

The workshop in Kampala was facilitated by Dr. Clemensia Neema Murembe, Professor at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, who discussed Project Planning and Management.

Mrs. Florence Kevin Asio Kwesigabo (Pictured below), National Coordinator for Domestic Violence Prevention Program at Uganda Catholic Secretariat, discussed the role of Women Religious in fighting Human Trafficking and Mentoring.

The Chairperson for the SLDI Alumni Association, Sr. Mary Kyomukama, officially welcomed the new members to the Association of the Alumni. During the workshop, SLDI Alumni had the opportunity to share their experiences and reflect together on their work as instruments of change. The Uganda SLDI Alumni Association is an organization with both a constitution and a seven-member executive committee, which meets at least three times a year to plan for the Association.
