ASEC's work in Uganda
SLDIPartners

ASEC serves 487 congregations in Africa and works with 52 congregations in the Association of Religious in Uganda (ARU).

SLDI has been working in Uganda since 2007.

SLDI has served 314 unique particpants in the program.

In the 2012-15 period, Uganda had the highest percentage of impact projects focusing on

  • infrastructure (45.2%)
  • agriculture (18%)
  • social work (12.3%)
  • food/nutrition (11%)
  • sanitation (8.2%)
  • energy creation (6.8%)

Partnered with Marywood University to support the HESA program in East Africa. Sisters complete one full year via online distance learning delivered by Marywood University and transfer to CUEA to complete their degrees.

HESA sisters study here through the Onsite Model. Through this partnership, sisters can select from various bachelor’s degree programs relevant to their ministries. The majority are studying for degrees in Business Administration and Management.
